BURLINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A federal grant of more than $1 million is going to help support food producers, local economies and participants in the 3-Squares-Vermont program.

U.S. Sen. Patrick Leahy, a Democrat, is expected to announce the program on Monday in Burlington.

Leahy says the grants are another example of Vermont’s leadership in applying federal funds to provide all Vermonters with access to nutritious food while sustaining local farmers and building healthy communities.
