SAUGERTIES, N.Y. (AP) - New York State Police are still trying to solve the 46-year-old killing of a still-unidentified man who was wearing a business suit with pajamas underneath when he was slain.

Troopers say his body was found Feb. 1, 1970, down an embankment off a road in the Ulster County town of Saugerties (SAW’-ger-teez), 40 miles south of Albany.

The man had been shot multiple times in the back of the head. Police say he was most likely killed elsewhere.

The victim, a white male approximately 35 to 45 years old, was found fully clothed in a three-quarters-length raincoat, a business suit, dress shirt and silk tie, and the pajamas.

Investigators have released a forensic artist’s sketch of the victim in the hopes it will lead to his identity.
