FLINT, Mich. (AP) - Police have released the name of a 46-year-old man who died after officers in Flint used a stun gun to subdue him while investigating a double stabbing.

The Flint Journal reports (https://bit.ly/28QfimK ) Thursday that Antonio Richardson began experiencing a medical emergency after he was handcuffed Wednesday afternoon. He later died at a hospital. An autopsy was to be performed to determine how he died.

Officers confronted Richardson after he barricaded himself inside a home. State police Lt. David Kaiser said Richardson had a knife and would not drop it despite commands from officers.

A 51-year-old woman and a 52-year-old man in the home were stabbed. The newspaper reports that both were listed in good condition Thursday at a hospital.

Kaiser said drugs were on a kitchen table in the home.
