VIAN, Okla. (AP) - Sequoyah County authorities say a Webbers Falls man is missing after disappearing during a hike at Lake Tenkiller in eastern Oklahoma.

Authorities say Matthew Scott Fagan was last seen about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday when he told those he was hiking with that he was turning back from the hike because his feet were hurting.

Sheriff Ron Lockhart told KOTV (https://bit.ly/28QfeR5 ) that when the others returned to their vehicle, Fagan was not there.

Lockhart says searchers on foot and horseback and search dogs have been looking for Fagan, but called off the search Thursday afternoon because of the heat.

Lockhart says the group had been hiking near Cato Creek near the southwestern end of the lake.
