GRAFTON, Iowa (AP) - Authorities say two people have died in a two-vehicle crash about three miles west of Grafton in northern Iowa.

The Mason City Globe Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/28TQfhJ ) that the crash happened Friday morning at the intersection of 390th and Thrush Avenue in Worth County.

Iowa state troopers believe a northbound vehicle ran a stop sign and collided with an eastbound vehicle about 10:45 a.m. Sgt. Mindy Coe says the northbound vehicle then caught fire, and two people in that car were killed.

One person from the eastbound vehicle was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.

Police have not yet released the names of those involved in the crash.
