MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say four people were injured when the boat they were riding in hit a rock jetty in near Perdido Pass.

Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman Jamie Maloy says a 28-foot long boat carrying the four men crashed Thursday night as it traveled from the Gulf of Mexico toward Orange Beach.

Maloy says four men on the boat were injured and two were hospitalized and none of the men were wearing floatation devices.

Maloy says authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Marine Patrol Division is investigating.
