FARGO, N.D. (AP) - A Fargo man who was arrested in April after police discovered numerous narcotics, weapons and counterfeit bills is charged in federal court.

John Iten is charged with six counts, including conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute controlled substances resulting in serious bodily injury. His first court appearance is scheduled Monday.

Authorities say Iten was in possession of loaded guns, methamphetamine, heroin, fentanyl, marijuana, ecstasy, LSD, painkillers, testosterone and anabolic steroids. Fargo Police Lt. Shannon Ruziska called it “one of the most significant and visually appealing busts” in recent memory.

Federal court documents accuse Iten of distributing heroin that led to an overdose.

State prosecutors had charged Iten with 22 felony counts. That case has been dismissed.

Defense attorney Brian Toay and U.S. Attorney Chris Myers declined to comment.
