NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say a woman has been taken into custody after she set fire to two New York State Park Police cars at Niagara Falls State Park.

Park police say the woman used an accelerant to set fire to the two vehicles around 4:10 p.m. Thursday as they were parked in a lot on Goat Island, located in the Niagara River near the brink of the falls and part of the state park.

Police say the woman was immediately apprehended and there were no injuries or other damage. Officials say damage to the vehicles was minimal.

Goat Island was closed for a time while park police investigated the incident.

No other information has been released, including the woman’s name and a possible motive.
