GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. (AP) - Events celebrating the 100th anniversary of the wedding of Edsel and Eleanor Ford take place this weekend in suburban Detroit.

“A Legacy of Love: Vow Renewal and Garden Party” is Saturday at Edsel & Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores. Couples will gather at the estate’s picturesque grounds to renew their vows before a celebration that includes food and drinks.

On Sunday, “Down the Aisle: 100 Years of Ford Family Weddings” opens at the Ford House. The exhibit runs through Nov. 8.

Edsel Ford was the son of auto pioneer Henry Ford and the events are part of the Ford House’s 2016 “A Century of Love” celebration. Earlier this month, a life-sized bronze sculpture of Edsel and Eleanor Ford walking arm-in-arm was unveiled at the estate.
