PRINCETON, N.J. (AP) - A former Princeton student accused of breaking into a female student’s room and touching her while lying in her bed has been admitted into a pre-trial intervention program.

An attorney for 20-year-old Ronbo Fan, of Plano, Texas, told NJ.com (https://bit.ly/28SmYER ) Friday that he was admitted into the program to avoid prosecution this week.

He had been charged with third-degree burglary and fourth-degree criminal sexual contact.

Prosecutors say Princeton’s public safety department received a call on Oct. 31 that an unknown person entered her room in 1915 Hall. She told investigators that she woke up and felt someone touching her. She screamed and the suspect fled.

Fan was expelled from Princeton and banned from campus.
