FORT THOMPSON, S.D. (AP) - A Fort Thompson woman is accused of lying on and smothering a child.

U.S. Attorney Randy Seiler says 34-year-old Bonita Keeble is accused of causing the death of the child younger than 7 in July 2015 by “acting in a grossly negligent manner.”

Keeble also goes by the name Bonita Hara. She faces up to 23 years in prison if convicted. A trial date was not immediately set.
