HAMPTON, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire State Police say a Hampton police officer has been injured in a motorcycle crash.

Police say Officer Paul Morais was responding to a domestic disturbance report on Hampton Beach around 10 a.m. Thursday.

Morais was traveling southbound in the breakdown lane of Route 1-A when he collided with a vehicle making a left turn.

Morais was thrown from the motorcycle. He was taken to Portsmouth Hospital with minor injuries and released.

The driver of the vehicle, Louis Picciuto of Stoneham, Massachusetts, wasn’t injured.

The crash remains under investigation.
