HONOLULU (AP) - A 33-year-old is suspected in the death of a man who suffocated beneath a vehicle.

Police told the Honolulu Star-Advertiser that a convenience store surveillance camera captured part of the incident.

KHON-TV reports Honolulu police arrested the man Friday on suspicion of second-degree murder related to the death of 36-year-old Kyen Knowles.

Video shows Knowles reversing a vehicle from a parking spot when a man walks up and fires a weapon into the car. Knowles falls out of the car and is run over by the vehicle.

The Honolulu Medical Examiner classified Knowles’ death as a homicide by suffocation.

Hawaii News Now reported that Knowles died from the weight of his vehicle and was not shot.

It’s unclear if the unidentified suspect has been charged or has an attorney.
