GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A power failure forced a number of businesses in Glenwood Springs to shut down early Friday evening.

Fire officials say an electrical transformer near Yampah Spa went out around 8 p.m. It knocked out power in parts of Glenwood Springs, including downtown south of the Colorado River.

Electricity was restored about three hours later.
