PEORIA, Ariz. (AP) - Peoria police say a 17-year-old boy is facing a murder charge in the fatal robbery and shooting of another teen.

Police spokeswoman Amanda Stucky says the incident happened around 2:50 p.m. Friday near Lake Pleasant.

Four male subjects including the suspect and the victim were target shooting when a disturbance occurred between them.

Stucky says one of them was shot in the chest and two left the scene by car.

The 17-year-old victim was airlifted to a hospital where he died.

Police located the suspect in Phoenix and he has been booked into a juvenile detention facility on one count each of first-degree murder and robbery. Stucky says more charges may be filed.

One person of interest still outstanding.

The victim’s name is being withheld pending family notifications.
