COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina police have released video of a police officer firing seven shots into a slowly moving car he was investigating for a noise complaint.

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the incident and released the dashboard camera video from Forest Acres officer Robert Cooper’s patrol car.

It shows Cooper standing a few feet in front of the left front side of the car May 19, shouting “Stop! Do not make me shoot you!”

The driver slowly pulls around the officer, who fires seven shots as the left front of the car moves past.

Authorities say the 17-year-old driver was hit at least once, drove away and crashed, but survived. Two guns were in the car, but that wasn’t evident in the video.

SLED is investigating the officer’s actions.
