LOS ANGELES (AP) - Los Angeles Fire officials say five people were badly injured in a fiery wreck involving four cars in Woodland Hills.

Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey said the injured include three people who were taken to the hospital Saturday night in grave condition; the other two in serious condition.

Humphrey said two of the victims were trapped inside a car that caught fire. He said bystanders used fire extinguishers and buckets of water to beat back the flames until firefighters got to the scene on Ventura Boulevard.

The cause of the crash was under investigation.
