MINOT, N.D. (AP) - Minot police patrol officers are starting to wear body cameras.

KXMC-TV (https://bit.ly/28TvD79) reports that the department has bought 53 chest-worn cameras.

Capt. John Klug says the recording from the camera is automatically uploaded to a cloud-based site. He says the cameras are a tool that will help officers build a case, collect evidence and gather information that could be lost or forgotten.

The camera is activated by the officer.
