LYMAN, Wash. (AP) - The 76-year-old woman whose death is being investigated as a homicide north of Seattle has been identified by authorities.

The Skagit Valley Herald reports (https://goo.gl/Db5KRc ) Margie E. Conard was found deceased in her home in Lyman on June 23 after someone had requested a check on her welfare.

An autopsy done Monday led authorities to start a homicide investigation. The Skagit County Sheriff’s Office says they have identified a person of interest and authorities don’t perceive an ongoing threat to the community.
