LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - The Arkansas Parole Board is recommending commuting the life in prison sentences of a man and woman convicted of killing the woman’s mother.

The board on Wednesday recommended commutating the sentences of 48-year-old Daniel Risher and 52-year-old Nikki Zinger.

The two were convicted in 1992 of first-degree murder in the stabbing and beating death of Zinger’s mother, Linda Holley.

Both pleaded not guilty to the crime.

The recommendation now goes to Gov. Asa Hutchinson.
