ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo is planning two days of activities to highlight recreational opportunities in the Catskills.

Officials from the Democratic governor’s administration will take part in a motorcycle ride through the area on Wednesday.

On Thursday the governor himself will kick off a day of rafting, fishing, biking and other activities as part of the first Catskill Summer Challenge.

The event is similar to one held each year in the Adirondacks designed to showcase that area’s recreational and tourism opportunities.
