JANESVILLE, Wis. (AP) - Authorities have seized a dozen mixed-breed puppies from a home in southern Wisconsin.

Rock County sheriff’s deputies executed a search warrant at the home Wednesday. The puppies are all estimated to be less than 10 weeks old.

Authorities say the puppies were seized because of information provided by the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture.

The puppies are receiving medical care at the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. The case remains under investigation, and no other details were released.

This story has been corrected to show search warrant was executed Wednesday instead of Tuesday.
