OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - The Douglas County Fair will be held this year at Crossroads Mall in Omaha.

County fair board member Shayne Fili says the mall is perfect for the fair’s more urban feel. Fili says there will be live music, hundreds of quits to judge, seminars to be held and an amateur barbecue contest for food lovers. Exhibits will be set up in the mall parking lot, inside a former store and in mall walkways.

The fair will run from July 21 through July 23, which gives winners in quilting, textiles and photography an opportunity to compete at the Nebraska State Fair, which is being held from Aug. 26 through Sept. 5. Last year’s county fair was held in September at the CenturyLink Center in Omaha.
