DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Authorities suspect an electrical problem caused a small fire at the Iowa State Capitol in Des Moines.

Firefighters were dispatched around 5:45 p.m. Tuesday to a first-floor office on the building’s east side. The blaze and the water sprayed to extinguish the flames caused only minor damage. No injuries have been reported.

Capt. Mark Logsdon of the Iowa State Patrol says the fire cause is being investigated, but investigators so far think an unspecified electrical problem is to blame.
