CLINTON, Conn. (AP) - A former Central Connecticut State University student who was expelled after equipping a drone with a gun has been arrested on child pornography charges.

The New Haven Register reports (https://bit.ly/293zhvj) Austin Haughwout (HOW-it) was served with an arrest warrant Wednesday in Middletown Superior Court on felony charges of enticing a minor with a computer, attempt to commit fourth-degree sexual assault, possession of child pornography and related crimes.

It’s unclear if Haughwout has a lawyer who could comment on the charges. He’s due back in court Friday.

The 20-year-old Clinton Resident made news last year after authorities say he posted a 14-second YouTube video showing a drone firing a handgun in the woods. No charges were filed, but the incident prompted unsuccessful efforts to regulate weaponized drones in the state.
