NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - New Jersey’s largest city faces a day of power outages that will impact homes, businesses and motorists.

PSE&G; is changing equipment in Newark between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The work will take place along Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd between Williams Street and Muhammad Ali Boulevard, Spruce Street between Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd and Washington Street, and Washington Street between Spruce Street and Williams Street.

There also will be work on Washington Street between Court Street and Hill Street and Broad Street between Court Street and Hill Street.

Police will be on hand to control traffic, but delays are expected.
