CLEVELAND (AP) - The editor of The Plain Dealer now has the added job of general manager.

The newspaper reports Wednesday the new duties for George Rodrigue (rahd-REEG’) give him responsibility over local circulation, production, financial operations and human resources for The Plain Dealer Publishing Co. He also will continue to oversee the newsroom.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and former editor of The Dallas Morning News took over as Plain Dealer editor in January 2015.

Rodrigue this week announced the appointment of Timothy Warsinskey as the newspaper’s managing editor. Warsinskey has been a reporter and editor at the Cleveland newspaper since 1990.

New York-based Advance Publications owns The Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com.

Average circulation for the paper, home delivered Sunday, Wednesday and Friday, is 254,000 Sundays and 187,000 on Wednesday and Friday.
