MANHEIM, Pa. (AP) - A poultry barn has gone up in flames in central Pennsylvania.

It wasn’t immediately clear who owns the barn or what caused the fire there.

The fire was reported about 4 a.m. Wednesday in Rapho Township, a few miles off Route 772 in Lancaster County.

Crews at the scene say one barn was destroyed, but firefighters managed to save four nearby hen houses.

A lack of hydrants in the rural area has complicated efforts to fight the fire.
