PITTSBURGH (AP) - Two men have been found shot to death in a vehicle on one of Pittsburgh’s busiest highways, snarling rush hour traffic as homicide detectives search for clues.

Police and the Allegheny County medical examiner have yet to release the names of the victims.

The shooting was reported just before 5 a.m. on Route 65 near the McKees Rocks Bridge. The highway’s northbound lanes are closed in the area. The road is one of the busiest in the city and leads from the city’s West End to its suburbs.

City police spokeswoman Emily Schaffer says officers tried to perform CPR on the victims, but paramedics pronounced both dead at the scene.

Police haven’t said whether they have any suspects.
