LAS VEGAS (AP) - A grand jury in Las Vegas has charged three men in their 20s with murder in what prosecutors call the execution-style shooting of a liquor store clerk during a botched takeover robbery last month.

Ray Charles Brown, Lee Murry Sykes and his brother, Lee Dominic Sykes, expected to plead not guilty during arraignments Tuesday to charges also including kidnapping, conspiracy and robbery in the April 18 killing of store clerk Matthew Christensen.

Brown and the Sykes brothers are being held at the Clark County jail in Las Vegas.

Brown’s defense attorney said Friday he’s looking forward to addressing the charges in state court.

Lee Murry Sykes’ lawyer declined to comment. Lee Dominic Sykes’ lawyer was out of the office and unavailable to comment.

The indictment was filed Thursday in Clark County District Court.

Police and prosecutors say video shows Christensen saying that he can’t open the safe before he’s shot.
