BAKER CITY, Ore. (AP) - A suspect in Baker City surrendered Friday morning after a standoff of more than 10 hours.

Police Chief Wyn Lohner says the man barricaded himself inside a home Thursday afternoon and refused to come out despite direct negotiations. He finally gave up after tear gas was deployed.

The Baker City Herald reports that the suspect is John M. Guthrie Jr. and there were no injuries.
