HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) - Police say a man and woman suspected of killing her 81-year-old great-aunt in western Maryland have waived extradition in Arizona and will be returned home to face charges.

Washington County Sheriff’s Deputy First Class Carly Hose also released new details Friday about the death last month of Margaret Rose McAllister of Hancock.

She says family members found McAllister dead on her living-room floor with her wrists and ankles bound with duct tape, and duct tape over her mouth. The deputy says McAllister had been stabbed repeatedly in the chest and her throat was cut.

Police arrested 39-year-old Crystal Stanley and 43-year-old Jerry Smith Jr. in Kingman, Arizona, on Sunday. They are charged in arrest warrants with first-degree murder and other offenses.

It’s unclear if they have attorneys.
