STANLEY, N.D. (AP) - A Powers Lake man accused of killing his older brother and leaving the body in a camper for nearly six months has pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of negligent homicide.

Forty-year-old Aaron Larson initially had been charged with murder in the death of 46-year-old Terry Larson during a fight in March 2015. He reached a plea deal with prosecutors and now faces up to five years in prison rather than a possible 20-year term.

Prosecutors also have added a second charge against Larson of tampering with evidence. That felony also carries a potential five-year prison sentence. Larson is due in court on that charge in August.
