COLFAX TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities in Michigan’s Thumb region have released the names of two people who died when a cement mixer crashed into a Ford Ranger pickup truck.

The victims in the pickup were 24-year-old Chris Whisenant of Deford and 19-year-old Audrie Dorsch of Elkton. They were passengers.

The crash occurred Thursday in Huron County’s Colfax Township. The sheriff’s office says the driver of the pickup didn’t yield and pulled into the path of the loaded cement mixer.

The pickup driver, 23-year-old Andrew Trinity of Walled Lake, is in a Saginaw hospital. The mixer driver wasn’t hurt.
