NEW YORK (AP) - Juan Manuel Martinez scored midway through the second half as Real Salt Lake beat New York City FC 3-2 on Thursday in their first-ever meeting at Yankee Stadium.

After NYC opened the scoring in the 56th minute, Real Salt Lake leveled the match three minutes later when Yura Movsisyan controlled a long ball and overpowered a defender to squeeze a shot inside the near post. Real Salt Lake made it 2-1 after a failed clearance fell to the feet of a wide-open Martinez.

The visitors then went up 3-1 in the 74th on Frederic Brillant’s own goal.

Ricardo Clark scored the lone goal in the second half as the Houston Dynamo drew 1-1 with FC Dallas in a soggy Texas Derby.

The match was delayed in the fourth minute for nearly two hours due to a rainstorm.

After the field conditions improved, Ryan Hollingshead gave FC Dallas the lead after knocking in Fabian Castillo’s cross in the 23rd minute. In the second half, Clark hammered a loose ball from distance into the top corner to level it in the 51st.

The LA Galaxy managed just one shot on goal but still hung on for a 0-0 draw with Sporting Kansas City.

Scoring chances were rare in a meeting of teams missing several international stars on the final day before MLS’ Copa America break. Steven Gerrard sat out with a strained hamstring for the Galaxy, who already were without Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes on international duty.

Kansas City played without U.S. internationals Graham Zusi and Matt Besler.
