JEFFERSONVILLE, Ga. (AP) - Officials say autopsies on the teenage couple found shot to death inside a car parked behind Twiggs County High School have confirmed suspicions of a murder-suicide.

Twiggs County Coroner Harold Reece tells The Telegraph of Macon (https://bit.ly/1P99cti ) that authorities believe 19-year-old Alexia D. Jackson fatally shot her 18-year-old boyfriend Knickolus B. Jones before killing herself.

Their bodies were found Wednesday morning near the high school’s baseball field. A pistol was found inside the vehicle.

Twiggs County Chief Deputy James Faulk says the couple had been dating for about two years.

Jones graduated from Twiggs County High School in 2015. Jackson has a Macon address, but it was unclear where she went to school.

Authorities do not yet have a motive for the killings.
