BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) - A California woman has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for dealing drugs in the North Dakota oil patch.

Forty-six-year-old Victoria Reyes, also known as Victoria Allen, pleaded guilty in February to one count of distributing methamphetamine and one count of distributing heroin.

Authorities say Reyes, of Taft, California, was arrested during a traffic stop in Bowman on March 23. Police seized about two pounds of meth and a half-pound of heroin that had been transported from California. Two other people in the vehicle were arrested.

Reyes’ attorney, Brian Toay, declined to comment about the case.
