YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Twin sisters from Ypsilanti are set to go to college on full-ride scholarships to rival schools, with one going to Michigan State University and the other to the University of Michigan.

The Ann Arbor News (https://bit.ly/1WzLmP1 ) reports Sophia McPherson will start classes at the University of Michigan later this month, while fall semester will be the start at Michigan State for Mia McPherson. The 18-year-olds graduate from high school June 10.

Sophia McPherson’s goals include becoming a CEO. Her sister, Mia, intends to study nursing. She would someday like to become a pediatric nurse practitioner.
