ABERDEEN, S.D. (AP) - One of two owners of a mortuary business in Aberdeen where authorities conducted a search warrant has pleaded guilty to drug charges.

The American News reports (https://bit.ly/29bRegP ) that 59-year-old James Schriver pleaded guilty to possessing methamphetamine and marijuana in a plea deal with prosecutors that called for other charges to be dismissed.

Schriver’s brother, George, faces similar charges. He’s due to enter pleas on July 19.

The brothers own Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory. Police say they found nearly 3 pounds of marijuana and some methamphetamine during an April 14 search of the business. Authorities also seized 17 guns.
