WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. (AP) - Officials say a contractor was electrocuted while working at the Westchester County Airport.

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino says the electrician was installing lights to illuminate a taxiway when he opened an assembly panel after a malfunction and electrocuted himself. It happened about 2:45 p.m. Thursday.

The Journal News (https://lohud.us/29cfxZZ ) reports the 61-year-old victim from Northern Westchester was pronounced dead at the scene.
