BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - A 21-year-old Baton Rouge man has been indicted on murder and attempted murder charges in three separate shootings spanning less than three weeks in late 2014 and early 2015.

The Advocate reports (https://bit.ly/294QeWF) Christopher Thornton was charged with second-degree murder in the Dec. 18, 2014, shooting death of 22-year-old Christian Allen, who was killed during a robbery about a block from his home.

A Baton Rouge police report says detectives linked Thornton to the gun used in the killing, and witnesses identified him as the shooter.

An East Baton Rouge Parish grand jury also indicted Thornton Wednesday on four counts of attempted second-degree murder.
