CINCINNATI (AP) - A man has been indicted on charges he advertised a 15-year-old girl as a prostitute last year and drove her from Kentucky to Ohio with the intention of compelling her to engage in prostitution.

The federal grand jury indictment of Malik Bell was unsealed on Wednesday in a Cincinnati federal court.

The 23-year-old Cincinnati man is charged with sex trafficking of minors, producing child pornography and transporting a minor with the intent to engage in prostitution.

The indictment - returned in March - says the incidents happened in April 2015.

Federal prosecutors say Bell could face up to life in prison if he’s convicted of trafficking a minor for sex.

A detention hearing is scheduled for Friday.

His federal public defender couldn’t immediately be reached for comment.
