SANTA ROSA, Calif. (AP) - A 21-year-old man has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed inside a Santa Rosa movie theater.

KTVU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/297rz5i ) that investigators are looking into the unprovoked attack that took place during a movie at the Roxy Theater on Wednesday. Police arrested a man shortly after the incident.

Shortly after the movie “The Shallows” began playing, police say a man with a knife came up behind another moviegoer and stabbed him several times in the throat and the chest.

Police say they are trying to determine if the theater stabbing is connected to the fatal stabbing of a homeless man earlier this week.
