STATELINE, Nev. (AP) - Douglas County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a suspect in the armed robbery of a bank at the south end of Lake Tahoe.

Authorities say the white man in his mid-20s was wearing dark sunglasses and had tape over much of his face when he entered the U.S. Bank on the Kingsbury Grade in Stateline at about 3:15 p.m. Wednesday.

He’s described as 6-foot-tall with short blonde hair, wearing white shorts and a black fleece-type jacket.

Witnesses say he was carrying a handgun and passed a note to the teller demanding money.

They offered conflicting reports about a possible getaway car. One witness said a black, four-door vehicle with a person inside was waiting nearby. Another said it could have been a silver or champagne colored hatchback.
