LAS VEGAS (AP) - The Latest on a murder-suicide that left a Las Vegas family of five dead (all times local):

1:35 p.m.

Court records show that the woman who police say was fatally shot by her husband before he killed their three children and himself had sought a divorce last month.

Phoukeo Dej-Oudom filed for divorce from her husband, Jason Hagan Dej-Odoum, on May 25. No attorney is listed in the petition.

Authorities say the husband gunned down his wife outside a drug store and killed their children at an apartment before shooting himself Wednesday.

The Clark County coroner’s office said the youngest child, 9-year-old Anhurak Jason Dej-Oudom, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

Also killed were the couple’s 15-year-old daughter, Dalavanh Ariel Dej-Oudom, and 14-year-old son, Xonajuk J.J. Dej-Oudom.

12:30 p.m.

Police say there were previous domestic violence reports involving a family of five who died Wednesday in a murder-suicide at two locations in Las Vegas.

Authorities say a man chased and gunned down his wife outside a drug store and killed their three children at an apartment before apparently shooting himself.

Police Lt. Dan McGrath says authorities received at least two previous reports of domestic violence involving the family - one this month at the same apartment, and one out of state a decade ago. Police couldn’t immediately provide details of the incidents.

The Clark County coroner’s office identified the woman and children as 35-year-old Phoukeo Dej-oudom; 15-year-old daughter Dalavanh Ariel Dej-oudom; and two sons, 14-year-old Xonajuk J.J. Dej-oudom and 9-year-old Anhurak Jason Dej-oudom.

The father’s name hasn’t been released. Homicide detectives are investigating his motive.

11:30 a.m.

A good Samaritan couldn’t save a Las Vegas woman from what became a chaotic murder-suicide that left a family of five dead.

Police say a driver picked up the woman Wednesday night after seeing her screaming for help in the street near her home. Her husband chased them to a drug store two blocks away, where he dragged his wife into his car at gunpoint.

She eventually escaped and started running. Witnesses saw the man chasing her in his car before he opened fire.

Police say another bystander rushed to help her, but she was already dead with least one gunshot wound to the head.

The husband and their three children were later found dead at their apartment.

8 a.m.

Authorities say a man chased and gunned down his wife outside a drug store and killed their three children at an apartment in Las Vegas before apparently shooting himself, leaving five members of a family dead.

Police Lt. Dan McGrath says it appears the father killed himself in a bedroom, where he and the kids were found after 10 p.m. Wednesday. The children ranged in age from 8 to 15, and it’s not clear when they died.

Police say the woman was shot and killed about 7:30 p.m. as she ran screaming through the parking lot of a Walgreens store.

McGrath says a relative of the husband contacted police about 8 p.m. after getting a text message from the husband suggesting he was distraught and suicidal at the apartment.

This story has been corrected to show that the bodies were found Wednesday night, not Thursday.
