PARK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say an ultralight aircraft crashed while landing at a small airport in western Michigan, injuring the pilot and his passenger.

The Ottawa County sheriff’s department says 63-year-old Richard Henley was operating the aircraft on Wednesday evening when it veered off the runway at Park Township Airport near Holland and turned over in the grass.

The sheriff’s department says Henley was taken to a hospital, where he was listed in serious condition, while 71-year-old passenger Leland Kink of Spring Lake was treated and the scene for what were described as minor injuries. The crash is under investigation.
