SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - Spartanburg County authorities have arrested two people after a body was found which was linked to a car submerged in a lake.

Local media outlets report the body of 45-year-old Anthony Neil Biggerstaff of Inman was found under a bridge on Thursday. Spartanburg County Coroner Rusty Clevenger said Biggerstaff died of a gunshot wound to the head. Biggerstaff’s car was discovered partially submerged in Lake Bowen.

The sheriff’s office said 21-year-old Brittany Cassandra Foster of Inman is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Authorities also charged 22-year-old Keenen La’Breece Hines, also of Inman, with accessory after the fact.

Investigators haven’t determined a motive.

Foster is jailed without bond. Hines is jailed on a $25,000 bond. It’s not known if they have attorneys.
