BENSON, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a tow truck driver was killed while helping a disabled car on Interstate 10 near Benson.

The driver who struck the tow truck worker fled the scene.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the tow truck driver was helping someone on the shoulder of westbound I-10 early Saturday morning when he was struck. The suspect was in a white box truck with a broken red light on the passenger side.

DPS troopers also report that a motorcycle driver was killed while crossing southbound Interstate 17 in Phoenix.

The man’s motorcycle had broken down on the side of the road and his daughter had just arrived to help when he walked across the highway and was struck by a sedan. The driver was not impaired and remained on scene.
