BRISTOL, Conn. (AP) - Police are searching for a man who’s accused of getting out of his truck and chasing down a 12-year-old girl in Bristol.

Police were called around 2 p.m. Friday for a report of a man approaching a girl who was walking her dog by the intersection of Concord and Fairfield streets.

The girl told police the man made a comment to her, which she ignored. She says the man followed her in his truck until she started running toward her home, at which point the man exited his vehicle and began chasing her.

The man eventually stopped and fled in his truck. The girl was uninjured.

Police say the suspect is white with an average build and small, round eyeglasses. The vehicle is a red pickup.

The investigation is ongoing.
