BURLINGTON, Iowa (AP) - Police say a 25-year-old Burlington man shot in the jaw overnight is expected to recover.

The Hawk Eye reports (https://bit.ly/1U54Oky ) that the man was shot early Saturday morning. He was not able to provide any details about who may have shot him.

Burlington police say officers responded to the 200 block of South Central Street around 12:30 a.m. to a report of four shots fired. When they arrived the victim had already left in a car. A bystander pointed out the car, and police found the victim in the passenger’s seat.

The man was taken to Great River Medical Center for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Shell casings were found by police at the scene.
